Founded in 1990, EFRI-RAUÐILÆKUR is located on 450 hectares in Northern Iceland - just outside Akureyri. Three generations work together to raise quality horses for sport and leisure. We have twice been awarded the prize for Best Sport Horse Breeder in Iceland. Our horses have become known worldwide for their excellent character, intelligent minds, and wonderful gaits.
We have excellent sales horses available, and can help you find your dream horse for sport or leisure. Enjoy the sights of Northern Iceland as well, with options to go whale-watching or touring breathtaking nature reserves. In addition, we now offer riding tours on our top-quality horses.
